As a newer member of George's creative writing class, I wish I had known George longer. Giving him lifts home after class was pure joy as he was always cheerful despite his health issues which he fought so hard to overcome. It was very clear from his conversation how much he loved his family and how proud he was of you. I loved his gentle humour and old fashioned courtesy, a delight in this day and age, and will miss him.
